Surrounded by music and the music business, Dean was encouraged to play the guitar and develop his promising voice, which fully matured has tones reminiscent of both his father Alan, and original frontman Chris Norman. Along with his Rock and Roll looks Dean is an ideal choice to front the band, his firm intentions to play, sing and produce the original hits of Smokie with spirit and style.

He is also a prolific songwriter and has songs on Bravo Hits including ‘Hard to Understand’ reaching No1 in the charts! He sang the bonus ‘Think about the Night’ on the Smokie album ‘Lay Back In the Arms of Smokie’.

On his solo album “Gravity”,  which is full of unique songs and rich in variety Dean shows off the softer side of his powerful and emotional voice.

Dean is the youngest member of the band, but his pedigree is of the highest calibre. Good looking, with a vibrant personality, he enjoys performing his favourite Smokie songs.
